Rollercoastering through life

Life is always going up and down and around sharp corners and then you can loose the pit of your stomach as you go down that huge hill to then only feel thrown around as you go hit that sharp bend.....

Do you ever feel like this? Do you ever feel that you just get to the top of that hill and think wow, smooth sailing from here and then another hit, that tight corner knocks you out of nowhere....

No matter how far I get in this thing called life, I often get to that hit and I am surprised. Why do I get surprised??. Surely history tells us that this is not a new revelation by any stretch of the imagination that there is always something coming around that next bend.

So, when I want to curl up in the fetal position, hide under the covers and give up, will I?

I sure hope I don't!!! I haven't yet. I have been blessed with a half glass full look on life. When the hit comes I get up (I so want to sing that song right now ... 'when I get knocked down, I get up again, nothing is ever going to keep me down')

I just wanted to encourage you that whatever is going on with your little billie, in your parenting in your role as mum, daughter, sister, friend to rise up and keeping going! Your little billies are watching!

  1. As well as teaching kids to be resilient, we need them to see that we ourselves are resilient. Nice post Sarah!
